August 22–23 at Canadian Mennonite University, 500 Shaftesbury Blvd, Winnipeg. Boys ages 9–17 and girls ages 13–17, all divisions — athletes must attend both days to try out for the 2026-27 Magic Basketball club season.

Tryouts for the 2026-27 Magic Basketball club season take place August 22–23 at Canadian Mennonite University (500 Shaftesbury Blvd, Winnipeg). Athletes must attend both days. Athletes across all age divisions, boys and girls, are invited to attend and compete for a spot on this season's roster.

- Game-speed situations to evaluate basketball IQ and competitiveness
- Team placement notifications following roster finalization
Who This Is For
Tryouts are open to boys and girls ages 9–17. Boys born 2009–2016 and Girls born 2009–2012. Athletes register for the division matching their current age; coaching staff may adjust placement based on what they observe during evaluation.
Tryouts run over two days at Canadian Mennonite University (500 Shaftesbury Blvd, Winnipeg). Athletes must attend their scheduled session on both August 22 and August 23. Please arrive 10 minutes before your division's start time.

After Tryouts
Coaching staff will evaluate athletes across both days. Rosters are finalized shortly after, and selected athletes will receive team placement notifications and next steps for the season.
Required Items
- Basketball shoes – Indoor court shoes with good ankle support
- Athletic clothing – Comfortable shorts and t-shirt
- Water bottle – Stay hydrated
- Personal basketball (balls provided)
What NOT to Bring
- Jewelry or valuables
- Outdoor shoes on the court
